“Nail Diamond” just opened mid-October this year in Manhattan Beach. Ms. Karina the owner, also owns “Hair Diamond”, please see the September blog http://www.la-poppy.com/blog/2010/09/. Nicole, the store manager came to Los Angeles 3 years ago after staying in New York and Hawaii several years each. She learned nailing technique in Japan, has more than 15 years of experience as a nailist, and is bilingual in Japanese-English.
A speciality of “Nail Diamond” is using sterilization package of nailing tools for each customer. Like a clinic, a package is opened in front of a customer, so it is safe and clean. Their “Waterless Pedicure” solves problems such as mold growth. By eliminating the water, the treatment gives a sanitary effect.
The store uses “AKZENTZ” products, please see the October blog http://www.la-poppy.com/blog/2010/10/13. They are good for your health and the environment. Regular clear gel gets yellowish after a couple of weeks, but AKZENTZ clear gel stays clear for about 3 weeks.
Manhattan Beach has a smaller Asian community, but it’s only 10~15 minutes away from Torrance, Gardena and Redondo Beach. It is nice to walk along Highland Avenue where there are many fancy stores with after get a new nail and pedicure.
